| rooster crawler with 3s??
I have a bully axled rig. 45turn motors. BEC and the rooster. I currently run 2s batts. Question is can the rooster handle a 3s batt without problems? Last edited by lil' lucifer; 03-22-2010 at 05:14 PM. |

I've ran a 3s on a novak crawler and even on a xl-5 but as they aren't rated for 3s--expect issues to happen.

I wont advise you to do so but you can safely run 3S on a Rooster but you need a ----->>>>>Novak Smart Stop 3S lipo cut off to protect the set up.<<<<<<------- The Rooster is not able to cut off for 3S other wise it will handle it,,, BUT,,,KNOW THIS,,YOU VOID OUR WARRANTY AND DO THIS AT YOUR OWN RISK. Ive been running 3S on my Rooster for months now with no ill affect...on Bully axles with 45t handwound motors. Program the Rooster for 2S cutoff and plug in the Novak 3S Smart Stop and program it. When you want to go back to run 2S like I do when I mess around just unplug the Smart Stop and plug the ESC back into the Rx and then plug it back in when you want the 3S back. |

I run 3s lipos all the time with my rooster crawler esc. No issues at all but crawl at your own risk.
