Default IMAX B6 Charger

I just picked up a IMAX B6 charger and my 2s balance plug won't slide into the balance port on the charger because of the locking tab on the battery's balance plug.
Has anyone else had this issue?

...and before I get flamed for buying this thing... I know, it isn't the greatest.

You shouldnt get flamed for buying that charger, ive been using one for about a year and it still works perfect. As for your plug issue, i think they make adapters, but im not positive.

i havent had any issues with mine and i have two of them. you could by a balance board to plug in to your charger . its relatively cheap and should be inexpensive. but what kind of battery is this? and no grills on the charger setup. if it works and is paid for whats to laugh at?

Sounds like you've got a Thunder power or Hyperion tap. What battery is it?

It's a Thunder Power 2s. I contacted Cheap Battery Packs last evening and they are sending me out a new adapter. Apparently, they gave me a wrong one or I have the wrong balance plug? Idk but they are awesome with their customer support.

But it comes with a female Tamiya plug? The batteries come with the same female plug.

I bought a male tamiya adapter and I soldered a male Deans on the other end so I could plug my batteries into the charger. Works pretty good.

Although I can't get my Nimh battery to charge in auto mode... only manual

Mine came with fake deans too, which also work just fine.

I had an exteded email conversation with one of the b6 suppliers from ebay because I had the same problem. It turns out that even though it's in the manual it is no longer part of the programming on the charger. I was kinda ticked at first but since I spent more on shipping the thing it made no sece to send it back and it really works fine.

Right? I just set up my max amps(2200) and it stops at that point. Otherwise, it seems to work well.

I'm also considering the IMAX B6 Charger. I have a Venom lipo with a jstxh balance plug on it. Will that plug into the balance port on the charger?

Thanks
