curious if anybody knows what the difference is between them. the specs are the exact same?? anybody know?

one uses a magnetic encoder and the other uses a potentiometer

when it comes down to it which one would be better for crawling?

or would either one make a difference?

A potentiometer will wear out over time, supposedly the magnetic encoder will not.

However the magnetic is more sensitive and will drain battieries faster by trying to find center all the time (more so then the potentiometer).
