| Lipo packs and magnets?
I did a bit of research on this but couldn't locate any solid information. I'd like to find out if using two 3/8" diameter Neodymium magnets to lock down my Lipo packs in my crawlers would damage the packs in any way? |

I can't see how they would. You can put a brushless motor right next to them with no ill effects, so I can see how using them as a hold down device. Later EddieO |

| Nothing wrong with it, just tight spacing on the mount point and I was thinking that the magnets would be easier...just drop the pack on and go. Just for yuks I weighed the Neo's and my Axial velcro straps... 4 magnets: 3 grams 2 Axial Velcro straps: 4 grams If we're nitpicking Last edited by CreepyCrawl; 04-30-2010 at 10:03 PM. |

WOW! I admit to being ignorant about "Neodymium" magnets so I goggled it. Not really the old school horseshoe ones. I would be curious how they work out. |

I'm going to set it up on my 1.9 and see how it works. They're strong little buggers and should work well; the actual pull force of each is 2.2 pounds. Last edited by CreepyCrawl; 04-30-2010 at 09:40 PM. | |
