Default Overheating issues?

I know this forum is for crawlers but I am going to ask anyways. I just picked up a slash 4x4 and ran it with 3s lipo and after 15mins or so it went into thermal shut down. Is this just like my tekin fxr in my creeper and all I have to do is put in a bec? Thanks for thoughts

No, ya need to gear down and get some fans. The slash 4x4 elecrtonics are marginal for 3s. I been running one and it is a blast but I went to a 9t pinion and have fans on the esc and motor. Just went to a rspro/6.5 combo.
