Default 6x6 Lacking power

Hello, i have a fairly heavy rig (6x6) with a 55 turn motor trying to push it along, as you can imagine it doesn't have the torque or power it should have. what would be some other alternatives motor wise? brushless? lower turn motor?

Thank you

Yes, as in a higher voltage battery. Granted Traxxas says the XL5 is limited to 8.4 volts (9.6?), I've ran mine with a 3S lipo ever since the Slash was introduced. Of course, don't blame me if it fries.

Or if you drain a lipo too low.

But a 3S lipo will really wake that thing up.

would i have to switch to a different charger if i got a higher voltage battery? i just have some super old junker charger. i just got a brand new 4200nimh battery too so it would be nice to not have to go out to get a stronger one. are there any motors that would be better? i will consider the lipo but it would be nice to not have to go that route right now

You probably should drop to a 45t, maybe a 35t.....increasing your voltage will effect the torque, so that may not be the answer.....

I good handwound 45t is where I would start....

I got some in stock too
