I have done some searching but I am still not sure about this. Will this radio work on my moa with a punk dig?

If your looking at the model 2230 tq4 2.4, and plan on using the 4th channel for the punk unit, then yes...it will work right out of the box.

If you want to use the 3rd channel, then you'll have to do a tq3 mod to it.

dumb question #2. Where would I find this number? I have an opportunity to buy one and just don't want to waste my money.

Model # was on the box for mine. From what I've read so far, if it was originally meant for a summit, it's the wrong one. Receiver should only be a 4 channel, with two channel 1 slots (dual steering servo hookup). The summit receivers, I'm told, have 5 channel slots, also with two channel 1's. Not much help, but best I can tell ya. Good luck!

I also noticed that the new model takes 4 batteries and the older one with the true 3 position takes 8 batteries. hope that helps
