Default Sanwa MX3 3-position mod

I know the third channel can be modded to 3-position switch. I would like to use it for my winch. could also be helpful for a DIG. here are 2 examples:

I see the 2-position switch is directly soldered to the curcuit board, so I don't know how to start.

can you help?

Hey german guy!

Check this - http://www.rccrawler.com/mx3.htm

You might not have found useful search results cause of it's another Brand "Airtronics" in addition to "Sanwa" on the global market. Read this manual and follow it pedantic, the first time i read this it was hard to catch but then...at first you have to find the 5V and GND lines. ATTENTION - make sure you're measuring with an instrument that displays if signal is PLUS or NEG to differentiate between the poles.

BTW: A great cheap-trick is to get a Kyosho KT-14 Radio, it's exactly the MX-3 Non-2.4GHz-Version (MX-Sport?). You just need a 3Ch-RX like the Traxxas TQ3's paperweight, or the micro 4Ch.

To clean the switch's signal feel free to add two motor-capacitors between the input and the two outputs.

BUT: ON UR OWN RISK! The powder extinguisher might be your best friend if ur not in electronics!

Looks like I made it! Here's the result from the outside:

On the inside it looks very much the same like on the link above.

It works perfectly and I can control my winch now with my improved radio. I will post a video soon!
