Question Lipo balance plug help

I just picked up a new battery for another truck and I have some balance plug questions. The packs I have been using are thunder power 2s 1350 packs. The new pack is a dynamite 2s 6000 pack. Of course the thunder power has their style balance plug and the dynamite pack has a JST-XH type connector.

How are these wired? Couldn't I just put a "universal" 3 pin connector on the pack and the opposite "sex" end on the chargers lead instead of waiting for an adapter from somewhere?

The charger I'm using is a hyperion model and when I bought it from Krawlerhobbies.com (great service) he sent me an adapter to go from hyperion to thunder power.

The more I look at it and think I belive that two of the leads are positives off of each cell and that one of them is a common between the two. Since the only purpose of those leads is to balance the voltage between the two cells, it would make sence I think?
