| Punk Dig VS Novak "The Dig"
So which is better or more reliable? Any drawbacks to either? For reference, I would be using a DX3E (SR300 Rx), Holmes BR-XL, Dual Tekin 35T Hand Wounds, and a CS170 servo. Thanks! |

You would need 2 ESC's with The "Dig" from Novak. I never seen one run, that I know of. It is cheap, like 18 bucks vs 65+ for a Punk. So if you already have 2 ESC's go for the Novak, but 65+ is cheaper than another ESC if you only have 1.

Ohhhhhh never mind then. I looked it up a while ago and must have forgot it's used for dual esc's. Thanks for reminding me!

keep in mind the Punk dig is NOT even close to water proof. i'f seen a wet spec of dirt get stuck on one of the legs of the chip and it renders the truck useless. |

Sounds like a good idea to plasti-dip or liquid-tape it then, or at least everything except them soldering holes/squares.

the punk dig is nice but i woudl rather see someone build somethign that is solidstate. all the punk dig is 2 small relays. and a microprocessor that reads the Servo modulation to turn one or th eother on. it is no better then the servo with pico switchs. its also kinda big. no substitute for a 4PK and dual ESC |

Sounds good, thanks guys! Just curious because I'll prolly get the new Axial MOA at the end of this comp season and was just curious about setups. Thanks again! |

I noticed the Novak shuts down the esc so you rely on your motor to hold, but with the micro switch w/servo dig the switch grounds out the motor making a harder brake with the motor . Then again I run crappy terra claw 55t motors Im sure there is a stronger holding motor out there that wouldnt budge even if it werent grounded .
