Just one sidewinder? Maybe...

Sounds like fun to me.

on 3s the sidewinder will get fairly warm running those motors let alone on 4s it would be better with 2 sidewinders

I am running that setup on 3S with 12 and 13 tooth pinions in a Berg with very little heat.

I only need it for 30 feet at a time in a straight line and only 4 or 5 times a night, 1 night a week.

Heat goes up with the square of amperage. Amperage goes up linearly with voltage if we assume that the load does too. Running very basic assumptions, your heat will go up 70%.

In the real world of crawling it isn't so simple, but I can guarantee that you will see more heat.

Obebaldone, you are fine.

Maybe I'll just throw the MM back in there. I was just trying to get more wheelspeed out of my comp rig that was easy.

I took my comp rig down to an event fri night where they had a pull sled. On a whim I entered my comp rig in the 4wd elec class and won.

Everyone else had silly wheelspeed but had problems getting the power down. I on the other hand had no traction issues until the very last round. My issue is that even with the 37's on 3S, I was still able to top out in speed just a few feet out of the hole.

I was curious about the same thing but i am running two sidewinders with 37t handwounds. should i be able to go to a 4s. it does have good wheel speed when crawling but sometimes we set up a bonus that is sort of a point and shoot, the extra wheel speed would be nice.
