Default Bugget servo comparason

just lookin to see what kind of luck people have had with these servos that are priced great and have a pretty good amount of power

235oz @ $18
http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...tal-Gear-Servo

208-224oz @ $22
http://www.crawfordperformanceengine...ervo-p-18.html

220oz @ $35 (alum. case)
http://www.rc4wdshop.com/go/product_...roducts_id=162

220oz @ $30 (same as above just no alum. case)
http://www.rc4wdshop.com/go/product_...roducts_id=163

they all have around the same tourqe (some what close in price) and obvisly the first one is cheapest but which one holds up the best?

They all look like a repackaged towerpro 995,I've noticed alot of that going around...available from ebay starting at 70cents for two. Mine were a great little servo until they burned up with about 10hrs run time....allmost worth it if your not comping

I can tell you that ours are NOT rebadged Tower Pro 995 servos, and some of those others don't look like them either. Ours have more torque and faster response times that the 995 does, and they also have a different circuit board that makes them less likely to stutter.

If anything, they're closest to the MG946R, but still have faster response times.

I've been using a few of the RC4WD servos over the past 2 months. So far * knock on wood* no issues. They use a Futabo splined servo horn, so I have to mail order those.

Heres the linkhttp://cgi.ebay.ca/2x-Pro-MG995-DIGI...item2ead08dbc2

They get posted from being 10kg to 15kg most are rebranded 995's some are the newer rebranded 945's. I'm not accusing anyone of anything, just saying know what your buying, when in doubt ask the seller. Either model is available for under 5$!!!
For the record the 995 is a kick azz servo minus the circuit board issues and the 945 does claim to have fixed those issues.....could be worth a try

I picked up one of the power hd 1501's for a buddy of mine. It is a great servo for the money, and I think I picked it up from valuehobby.com for 13.30. I definatly believe it has the advertised torque. Also it is definatly NOT a rebaged towerpro. Completly different case, and the case halves have slicon seals on them, so they may be pretty waterproof out of the box. My buddy has ran his underwater without a problem yet. I would reccommend the power hd servos for sure

I run a Crawford servo. It has enough torque. No real issues other than I can't seem to get enough turning radius from it. I extended the horn, adj my end points, I'm still looking into it, but for $20 it's worth it.

The hextronic hx12k is the best budget servo I've found. It seems decent until you put 7v to it and it really wakes up. It is super fast, very strong (over 200oz @ 7v) and doesn't strain the bec nearly as much as the power hd's, etc usually do. Then there's the price, it's like $7. I think hobbyking sold out already but I grabbed 2 from their last batch and will probably buy more once they are back in stock.

I don't know how long they will last, especially on 7v but since I'm just bashing I'll just pick up some spares and change them out if/when they die.

anybody tried this one??

http://hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store...idProduct=9983

31kg torque for $60, seems pretty reasonable to me, i ahve ordered lots of other stuff from hobbykign and never had a bad product, so i'd assume the reliability of this would be comparable.

I run the RC4WD servo and its held up fine for about a year now . It seems even stronger than its rated . My rig is heavy at 11lbs with chisels so it can be hard to steer at times but the servo has never stalled on me . I bump it up to 7.2v sometimes and never any problems . Even through water no problems . I would definately recommend it 2 anyone .

Click the link...these sell for $12.99. I found a place in China a couple of weeks ago that sells them for $12.99 with no additional shipping fees. When I find them again I'll post the link.
