| powering my winch
im building my scaler and its goin to run on 3s with a bec ,and my question is can i set my winch(3racing) uo so it gets power from my rx by splicing the power wires in to the rx plug or do i need to just run another battery for my winch like ive been doin on my other rigs,just tryin to avoid the 2 battery setup ,and no im not ditchin the 3s thats what i run in evertything |

It is fine to run the power wire into the receiver. I have ran mine like this for some time, but I now have a separate BEC set to 7.2V just for my winch.

i have a cc bec pluged in to my reciever that my servo gets it power from wouldnt it power my winch to since thats where my rx gets power from?

| The "Y" is for running with a 2S or 7.2v battery. He's running a 3S so he uses the BEC to controll the voltage the winch needs by being set at 7.2v etc.
