just fill your esc with dio-electric grease then it will be waterproofed. i have done it several times on my crawlers that i have driven in atleast 3ft of creek water.

Default Balloon

Just stick you ESC in a rubber balloon and use a tie wrap to seal it tight where the wires come out. Also use some RTV silicon around the wires.

X2 I use electrical or duct tape to seal it.

M-tronics Viper series ESC is waterproof with dragbrake

I use a Viper in my HL and after having it soaked in water for about a minute, the ESC was undamaged.

I have a rooster crawler is in my scaler, and it has been completely submerged countless times and so far nothing has happened to it. My rx is in a traxxas box.
