I'm going to be using SideWinder with 3S Lipo and I think I will need an external BEC for sure. http://cgi.ebay.ca/HOBBYWING-RC-UBEC...item3cac86e819 or I need the 5AMP castle external BEC |

shipping from US to Canada takes about 2 weeks( or a little less).. Shiping from China takes about 2.5weeks, so not much difference for me. But I think the switching method should be way more efficient. |

Just get the Castle BEC.. Why try something of lesser quality, lower specs, long shipping times, non adjustability............should I go on? In the years I have been on here I have never seen someone with an efficiecy problem and their BEC's. There is a reason damn near eveyone runs the adjustable Castle units and not the one you linked to. |

It depends on your servo. You could probably get away with using the hobbywong but it could end up a waste of money. If you plan to comp at all and not just bash you shouldn't even consider that bec.
