I would have to guess it to be about a 1500KV setup (there's no solid KV info out there for the big rotors) and would have to be used with a MMP or RS ESC, a Havok won't give proper drag or instant reverse and a Goat will turn into a Havok with that motor. The biggest issue with the Novhack silver cans is the non-replacable sensor harness, they seem to go out in the abusive crawler enviorment pretty quick.

YA the crawler i would put it in would be a losi comp crawler. the ecs that i have to use would be a MMP or a traxxas Velineon vxl-3s. I am currently using the mmp but I found the VXL-3s works a bit better because the esc cuts all power to the motor and steering when the wheels get locked in a crack, Then I have to pick up the crawler and it will start again and with the VXL-3s it did not have that issue.

Not hard at all to wire in a BEC, the MMP is only 3 amp output. We had been powering a 5645 with no issue in a LNC with a MMP, swapped in a 9100t after stripping gears today and picked up the same issue. A CC BEC will solve it and let you run the MMP for instant reverse.

super simple, solder it to the leads on the esc plug to the batt. and then plug into your aux. or batt plug on your reciver!

so the original question was never answered. i too have the 17.5 ss novak and was wondering if the 14mm rotor will work in this can. i see on the novak site that the largest rotor avail for this motor is the sintered 13mm. just wondering if anyone else has tried it. i love the speed of the 17.5 on a 14t pinion but the low end leaves a little to be desired.
