Default Motor confusion . Help ?

Ok I have been running a stock Emaxx Titan 550 in my basher crawler but it has very little low end control . I purchased a Kershaw 55 turn 550 hoping for more torque and low end control . The problem is the Traxxas motor still has more torque than the Kershaw . Kershaw has smoother control but wont pull me over anything if im not already moving . I have tried both with 7.2 and 14.4 v but still the same scenario . Did I get a crappy 55 or what ?

It seems to be a common complaint I hear from customers about the control of a 550 size motor.....

I'd suggest just getting a good 540 based handwound motor.....I am biased though!
