Default losi night crawler esc?

Will the stock losi night crawler esc handle 7 or 8 cell nicads.nimhs?
Also, can you use the mini t nimh packs, and how many cells can you safely run with the stock losi esc?

TIA...

Here is the information on the LNC's esc.

http://www.losi.com/Products/Feature...rodId=LOSB9522

"Input Voltage:4-cell (4.8 volts) to 6-cell (7.2 volts) DC NimH/NiCd or 2S (7.4 volts) LiPo"

So it looks like u CAN NOT run the 7-8 cell batteries, but you SHOULD be able to run the mini t packs. I believe the minit has a 5(?) cell battery, correct me if I am wrong please. So it should work.

I know it isn't recomended, BUT I have been running 3sLi on my LNC for a few days now with no problems. With an external BEC and a micro fan blowing over the BEC and ESC heat sink, it never gets more than warm. I would think with a similar setup 7-8 cell Nickel chemistry should be just fine, however YMMV...

So this brings me to my question about this particular ESC. Does anyone know where to find the schematic for the ESC? I like the built-in soft LVC in Lipo mode, but want to raise the LVC to 9v or so. I know they make external LVC/alarms for 3s but I believe changing 1 resistor is all it would take to mod the stock ESCs cutoff, thats why Im looking for the schematic. Just looking to tinker with the electricals

Thanks!

a 7 cell would work no problem and a 8 cell likely would, mini-t packs will work but will go dead very quickly and really wouldnt be worth it
