Default source for loose NIMH "C" cells

Hey folks. I'm looking for a reasonably priced source for C size NIMH cells-- ideally 5000mah or so. The Energizer 2600 or whatever MAH batterys are a effing joke-- they are basicly a AA with a large plastic can around them-- the same is true for the D size energizers. CRAP!

I looked on Chepbatterypacks & Thunderpower-- neither have regular C cells, as far as I can tell

Anyone have a fairly priced souce for quality cells? I see crazy prices on Ebay ($35 for 8 with free shipping), but they are no name brands from Hong Kong.

I got some from Harbor Freight a few years ago...was using them for my glow plug igniters when I was running nitro. I had C's and D's and they all seemed to do the job.

Hi Jeep-Power,

Quality NiMh C cells are gonna cost you a few $$. These seem to fit your needs...

I've heard good things about powerex batteries and own one of their chargers, top quality

Slightly less expensive...

I have 2 Tenergy sub-c packs and 2 of their chargers. I hear mixed reviews of Tenergy's quality but everything I have is fine.

I don't think you could go wrong with either, unless your application is critical and your looking for a true 5000mAh capacity I'd lean towards one of the items from TD.

Thanks for the recommendations folks!

It isn't super critical, I just want something that is gonna live for more than a few charges & last a while, when charged.
