Default Novak Goat 3s support dual brushed motors?

I am pretty sure the Goat 3s will support dual brushed motors, I just cannot find it anywhere and their support can be real slow.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Yep. Their site says 27 turns, which is more or less two 55 turns in parallel.

Perfect, I'll be using their Fifty-Fives.

Thanks much.

One more question:
The Novak Fifty-Five motors are recommended for this ESC, but the specs on the motors say 2s max. Will those motors NOT work with this ESC and 3s?

Thanks for any help.

Those 540 motors should not have any trouble with 3S...

Thanks for your help.

This crawler (1/5 extended Killer Krawler) is not going to need much speed nor will it be competing on any large rocks or anything. I am setting this up as a demo for NASA and it will be driven by spectators remotely using camera's. So 2s might work for this, but I want to cover all of my bases before I have NASA spend the money.

Originally I was going for Novak's M2 Dig Dual ESC and 2 Fifty-Fives, but that ESC is STILL not released!!

I guess if i am only going with 2s, the regular Goat or even the Rooster should work, right?

Thanks again!

Ideally, I want to use a single Goat 3s esc, 2 55t brushed motors and a single large capacity 3s battery. Will this work? And do you think 1 single 2s would be enough to move this large scale crawler if I had to use 2s? (It's bigger than a Baja 5B but lighter)

Thanks again.

Hummm.....I dont have any experience with that crawler, so I am not sure on the gearing. But if it's anything like the Super Bully's gearing (65:1 at the axles), then those 55T motors should work fine. I run my super bully on 4S most of the time, 3S some of the time and the torque is there, but when I step down to 3S, the wheelspeed decreases.

You know, if you are concerned about the ESC being able to handle the voltage of a 3S, then you might want to look into the Holmes Hobbies Torquemaster:

That Torquemaster is awesome and I will be getting one myself on my next build.

My biggest concern is using 3s with those motors. The motors have already been bought. Novak says motor limit is 2s. Even though they are not going to need speed, I am not sure 2s is going to be enough.

Well, I've been told by the guy who build the motors at Fantom, that really 3S shouldnt be run on 540 motors, but that they should be fine. He mentioned this when I was asking him why I kept smoking the motors in my super on 5S (~21V)....

He would be correct, they are (machine wound motors) really only rated for 12 volts

Well, the Fantom motors are hand wound, but I still havent had any issues with them on 3S (or even on 4S)....just when you bump up the voltage....

3S is 12.65V peak.
