Default Xcelorin esc issues

This is the 3 rd system I have gotten from losi and am still not happy. This one works but when you turn it on nothing. In order for it to work everytime you have to calibrate it each time. What did I miss?

It could be something as simple as your throttle nuetral trim being out (not centered). If not set a center then it will still calibrate but when you turn it off and then back on it will not reconise the nuetral (center) setting of the radio so it wont arm the esc.

As Joe mentioned do you get any lights (or sound) on the esc at all when you turn it on?

I havent had any problems with my Xcelorin esc, touch wood.

I too have had issues with the Xcelorin ESC (specifically, the 1/18th). Here is what I have found is the "proper" way to calibrate them.
1) Turn on the Transmitter
2) Plug in the battery
3) Push and hold the calibrate button
4) Turn on the switch for the ESC
5) First, the yellow/orange light will be illuminated....to not touch the trigger on the Tx
6) The green light will start to flash....push the trigger to full reverse (yes, reverse).
7) The green light will stay solid and the motor will beep
8 ) The red light will start to flash.....pull the trigger to full forward throttle (yes, forward).
9) The red light will stay solid and the motor will beep
10) The blue light will flash....leave the trigger at neutral
11) The blue light will stay solid
12) The blue and yellow lights will stay solid
13) Turn the ESC switch to off and unplug the battery
14) Plug in the battery and turn the ESC switch on

For some strange reason, this works on my Xcelorin ESC...it might work for you.
