How hot is hot? Have you put a temp gauge on it because that's the only way to know if you are too hot. Finger testing is useless because everyone has different thresholds for heat/pain and no one can accurately tell what the temps are through their fingers. For example my motor and shafts on my LCC felt extremely hot the other day, when I hit them with my temp gauge the motor was 120 and the shaft was 110. The motor was very well in it's acceptable range and actually fairly low for a brushless motor. Spend $20-30 and get a temp gauge so you can accurately measure what's happening. If the motor is under 160 and the esc under 140 you are fine. These things do heat up when running and that is okay. |
