Default two 3 cell lipos in parallel ?

If I run two 11.1v lipo batteries in parallel , should I set my cut off at 3cell ? Will this be safe for both batteries ?

As long as both packs are the same, there is no problem with doing this.

Thanks Jason , I just wanted to make sure before I ruin my batteries . One more question . If am running two 1000mah 20c batteries in parallel , will this double the discharge rating ? Basically , I am trying to figgure out if this set up will allow 40amps draw instead of 20amps .

You still have a 20C rating from your batteries but since you connected them in parallel, the total capacity has doubled. In effect you now have a 2000mah 20C battery.

Thanks for the reply . I am aware that the discharge rate remains the same . What Im trying to find out , is if the amp rating can be calculated as one 2000mah or one 1000mah . A 1000mah 20c battery is good for 20amps and a 2000mah 20c battery is good for 40amps . I need to know if the two 1000s in parallel can safely run 40amps . It should work fine but looking for some advice from someone who knows for sure .

Yes, your dis-charge rate will be able to handle double. But the C rating will still be the same. So 40 amps is your new constant

I do this also with 2 1300 blue lipos, and i've had alot of packs through my car no problem lvc worked properly, make sure you balance charge your batteries everytime though. I've runined one battery because i was in a hurry so didn't balance charge them for a a few runs and i ended up severely puffing one my packs
