Did you pull the red wire from the ESC? Have you checked the settings on the BEC with the CastleLink since this happened?

I would pull the BEC out and put the red wire back on for the ESC and then plug it back into the RX. This will let you know if the RX is still working.

If it is, then something went wrong with the BEC.

How did you set the BEC with out a Castle Link?

Don't know if this will help but the default on the cc bec is 5.1v and the rooster esc is already at 6.0v so maybe now that the cc bec has taken over it caused a problem with the power transfer. Maybe if you do like Duncan said then that will tell you the problem.

ordered from holmes. had him set it at 6. reinstalled the red wire and everything works. the bec lights up and. I pull; the red wire and everythig goes dead. I dont understand.

the first 2 minutes the red wire was not installed and it worked??

i think i am fighting something else too. the reason i got the bec was one: because everyone said to get one. and 2: because it seemed that as soon as i installed the dig i lost steering power. It seemed reasonable that the added servo took some power away and thought the bec would cure that. My steering is the same with or without the bec. i have messed with the epa's and trim to no avail.

Well, that sounds funny.

How do you have the BEC wired in? ( The Red and Black wire )
Are they ran through a switch or wired directly to battery?

I am stupified (or stupid) but here is what i have.

unplugged EVERYTHING

reset tx to square one.

I plugged everything in (but the BEC) and turned it on (red wire plugged in.)

I set all eps's and trim'd everything where i want it. Everything works..throttle, steering and dig.

I plug in the bec and it lights up (green light) but there is no noticible difference. The red wire is plugged in though. I take out the red wire i get nothing.. no juice to the rx. I plug red wire back in and there is juice

They are soldered behind the main battery plug (not the battery side.) Red to red black to black wired exactly like the diagram on the package. The red wire is the middle wire in the set

Sounds to me like the BEC is not getting power any more. It should light up as soon as you plug in the battery. I would check both those wires.

But at least the RX is still good. If the wires for the BEC are OK, then it sounds like you have a problem with the BEC.

You should have a little more power with BEC. That will depend on your servo though. Some have a noticeable differeace when you give them 6v.

But if your BEC is not powering up when you plug in the battery, it is not getting the power from the battery, it is getting it from the ESC. ( Which only puts out about 4.8v )

I hope this helps.
