Default MMP fan issues.

I've had no problems until yesterday, the hottest day we've comped yet.

My fan turns on when I plug the battery in (on/off switch removed) and after arming tones it stops. Every time.

I don't have a computer to check if it's a settings problem or an extra fan yet but I'm open to suggestions and spending money I don't have.

Thanks

I believe the MMP fan has a built in thermostat and only comes on when needed. Should be somewhere on CC's site.

Thanks. I'll check that out.

I was was around 180 degrees on the heat sinks with no fan still. I shimmed my LCC wrong and would drain 500mah per run. This thing was working hard..

Not sure at what point it comes on. I know I read it either in the manual or CC's site. Let us know what you come up with.

The fan comes on during arming then goes off. The onboard thermostat only turns it on when needed. Nothing is wrong with your controller it's just that the MMP can handle much more power than crawlers typically put through it.

I am running my MMP as a brushed system and I actually pulled the fan off mine as the size of that thing with the fan is my only compaint about the MMP. Soooo, as a brushed controller is running without the fan a deathwish?

Unless your brushed motor is pulling over 70 amps continuous then the answer is no, you are fine. I will probably pull the fan off the one in my LCC after a little testing with 4s.
