hey guys, i was looking into getting a bit more wheelspeed for my scx10 i was looking at the venom 17tx2 at my lhs, but i dont know if the traxxas xl-5 waterproof can handle a double? anyone know about that |

If your looking to drop that low in winds, I would look for a good 19 turn from Trinity or Reedy....performance wise, they will blow the 17t venom out of the water.... I am pretty sure your speed control can handle a 17 or 19t no problem... Later EddieO |

the double, single, triple, etc is really irrelevant to the ESC....I guess if you were right on the limit, it could be an issue....but a few turns off, so no biggie. I still would look for a 19t....I have some on my website I am clearing out for $10.....all you gotta do is solder on brushes... Later EddieO |

venom motors are the worst motors ive ever had! had a 15t and 17t both fried in 2 runs on the slash
