I'm going to go with programming problem.

1#. Make sure the little cap is still installed (will make it go poof)
2#. Try reversing the throttle (or try programming it backwards)
3#. GET a HOTWIRE if you dont already (I've got a fxr...so much better now)

Have any cutoffs set on the esc? Have you tried a freshly charged pack?

When programming it and you are supposed to press reverse press forward and when you are supposed to pull forward press reverse.......no what I mean. Thats happened to me before. Also make sure trims are set to zero while doing it.
