| Servo to choose : Futaba S9157 or Sanwa SDX-901
I need your opinion regarding both servo : Futaba S9157 or Sanwa SDX-901. It'll be used on MOA 2.2 class rig. Other servos recommendation are welcome but I'll be focus on these servo since I've got a good offer from my friend.. Thanks for the help, Rex. |

The SDX-901 has been nothing but problems. The case has no bushings for the pins that hold the gears, so eventually in a crawler they develop slop and the servo will hunt left and right if you hold your rig in the air. If you let it go to long without replacing the case, you will eventually strip the plastic, yes plactic first gear. After that you will have to spend $43 to get the whole gear set as they don't just sell the plastic gear. So far 2 SDX-901's sitting collecting dust after going through 2 cases each and then finally stripping the plastic gear. The 9157 was the replacement and is still going strong.

Futaba is hands down the best brand on the market. All the shitty HiTecs can't hold a candle. I had that servo, and loved it. Too bad a short in my system killed it.
