Default Rooster + DX3E + Vanquish dig question

I have recently installed a vanquish dig into my rig with a rooster crawler esc & DX3E radio. Because with the vanquish chassis & dig the transmission now faces the opposite direction I need to reverse the throttle position on my radio. The problem I have is that the esc is much slower in reverse than forward. Does anyone know of a way around this? I have reversed the motor polarity which doesn't help. Any ideas?

reprogram the esc and go from there

What he said. Reverse your throttle channel, center your throttle trim, and recalibrate your ESC.

Or first make sure your throttle end points are turned up all the way first in forward and reverse.

Agree! One Touch Setup to make forward and reverse "equal speed".
It's not always ideal to simply reverse the throttle channel.
You can even just operate the throttle opposite when doing the one touch setup.
I like to reverse the wires on the motor. Most of the crawler specific motors and ESC's it can be done "either way".

ok, tried doing the 'one touch setup' on the rooster crawler with the channel reversed & had no luck. This seems to have the same effect as reversing the channel or swapping the motor wires. No matter which way around it is, reverse is always twice the speed as forward. This is with all throttle trims at full. (It used to be like this before the new chassis / dig but the other way around.)

Because you said all trims are at full I'm not sure if you meant that or not but recheck your trims and your end point settings.
The trim is on the side by the wheel. Put that in the middle. Your endpoints are on the top. put those at full.
If you have your trim set to all the way forward that is why it is twice as fast in reverse. check that again let us know if thats not the problem

Sorry, my mistake, yes the trim on the side of the wheel is centered and the end points for forward and reverse are at full.

I'm not an electronics wiz but I know you can advance and retard motors. Maybe this is the problem? what motor is in it?

LED on the ESC will indicate what the ESC "thinks" it's being told.

Solid green is full throttle
Blinking Green is full Reverse.
Red is neutral.

If you're not getting those lights during operation, something didn't take.

I've seen lots of folks think they did the one touch setup right, but didn't. you can always try another motor to see if its something in the motor causing this.
