| which motor to get?
I need a new brushed motor for my axial ax10. And I have no money. There are alot of motors on ebay that are like $20 shipped. I have the axial 55t motor. It did the job. So that is one, but are these others any good? These some by RC4WD for only $13 shipped. And theres the venom fireball 55t for $20 shipped. How about the V10 Matrix. Any good? Can also get the Novak Terra Claw Rock Crawler Brushed Motor 55T for about $20 shipped. Which one is the best for the low $$$$ THANKS |

The only real difference between the motors you mentioned is that the Novak and the silver can RC4WD motors can not be rebuilt. They are all machine wound, lower end motors. The V10 motors like the others are hit and miss. I have never had an issue with the V10 my self, but then again I have been tuning motors for 25 years! Any of the above will do. The fireball or the V10 would be my pick of the motors you mentioned |

They're all cheap 55T motors, expect about the same from all of them. If you can see the wanted section, trying posting up there and maybe you'll score a good deal. |

for a couple bucks more, I'd take a look at the machine-wound HH motors... like $26 IIRC.

For your budget I would also recommend a rebuildable motor. The silver cans are great for what they are, but when they start to wear there isn't much that can be done to freshen them up.

I'm sure there are tons of axial 27t/55t rattling around in lots of folks parts boxes that could be had for a song. |

I do not recommend the venom fireball 55t motors. I had three in succesion which burnt out, within a couple of runs, and also took out LiPo's running them.

I would take Jeff up on his offer. It just doesn't get any better than that. Especially for a Holmes handwounds. If for some reason you do pass it up holes sells a nice sport motor that would be way better than any closed endbell motor you could get. They are rebuildable, and you will be supporting someone that supports us! |
