Default Traxxas TQ3 push switches??

I have the TQ3 radio and want to add the two position switch for dig, stopped by Radio Shack today after work to pick up a switch and I noticed they has tiny little push button switches. They are SPST with NO contacts, (for me this is perfect because my thumb isn't the most coordinated digit I have, I could seperate the switches using my finger tips to actuaute them) if I put two of them on this would be exactly the same as a SPDT switch EXCEPT there could be a possibility they could both be closed at the same time. Question is would this hurt anything if so what?

I'm not the most electronically minded person, but for Dig, you'll need a 3 position (on-off-on) switch - which is easy enough, and EPA's (End Pot Adjustments) which the TQ3 doesn't have - otherwise you'll wreck your dig servo in no time.

Anyone else have any imput on this? Basically what would happen if the receiver saw both signals at the same time for left and right for the third channel? would it hurt the receiver or the radio?

Thanks
