Randy,

You're wasting your time with that batt. Get ahold of me. A good Nimh is a great choice, and doesn't require any special charging.

I just picked up a hyperion 2080mah 2s lifepo4 battery for my 4pk...says on their site tx packs have a pcm chip and can be charged with the stock nimh tx charger or charger that can charge life batteries.

People are reporting 16-18 hours with these packs compared to the 4-6 hours of the stock 1700mah nimh packs.

Chris- is the the same chem as life packs?

I'm getting 3-4X the time with my l.i.f.e. in my Futaba 6-EX. My Triton Eq will charge every battery that "I" know of.

Im using a Ranktop 808 charger/balencer and it does LIPO,LiION & LIFE.
To do it i have to go into the charger settings and change the lithium charge mode.

But from what i've heard with life is they charge using the same cc/cv style charge as a lipo. So you might find someway of charge it of your current charger.

But dont hold me to that, one of the battery gurus might be able to shine some more light on the subject.

Pretty much. Aside of voltage, they're generally very similar

Charged the hyperion 4pk pack with the futaba charger that came with the 4pk...it fully charged the pack and is working fine.

I have cheap $30 turnigy chargers and you have to go into the first menu to change the voltage cutoff from lipo to life. Used it to double check the pack after using the futaba charger and the pack only took 10mah more.
