Default Axial RTC electrical probs.

I have a stock Axial RTC that has very little run time on it. It has all the stock electronics on it, and it has started to give me problems. I put the rig away after its last use, and then the next time I pulled it out, the problems began. Here is my problem.........

When I squeeze the accelerator "trigger" on the transmitter, the rig goes in reverse. When I push the "trigger" forward, it goes forward. This is backwards, than usual operation from any other vehicle I have driven. I gave the batts. a fresh charge, and it hasn't gotten wet. Has the esc given up the ghost already or what? I'm pretty new to "hobby grade"? electric vehicles. I had a t-maxx for a little while, and numerous "mart" grade vehicles. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Thanks, tried that. The switch is in the "N" Mode, and when switched to "R" the vehicle instantly is full throttle, and moving forward. Adjusting the throttle trim allows me to control the vehicle, but only in forward motion, there is now no reverse. Switching back to "N" returns the vehicle to the original problem.

Have you had the motor wires disconnected? If so you may have got them switched around accidently?

Sounds like there are other issues with the electronics in your rig, but a quick easy fix would be to swap the motor wires. Put your radio back to N (stands for normal),unplug the motor wires and swap them.
You might need to just reset the ESC to the radio for a complete cure. Should tell you how to do that in your manual.

PS: I remember now, I had the same issue with that ESC when I was using it. IIRC I could turn it off and back on once or twice and it would be fine, just make sure you have the radio on 1st, then turn the truck on. Hope that helps.

Update......So i switched the motor wires, and everything is fine. What's funny though is that the wires were never removed in the first place.
