Default Where does everyone buy their batteries?

I've read and heard get a 45c+ 3s lipo but I haven't had much luck finding where to get some. I was gonna order from hobbypartz.com and get a gt3b at the same time for the free shipping. The closest they have is a 1300mah 40c sky lipo tho. Any recommendations?thanks

What do you need a battery for? If crawling, you can use a 25c pack. When I ordered my gt3b the shipping was only $4.95. Try www.cheapbatterypacks.com and see what he has, he is a vendor on here and a real good guy to deal with.

Haha! I did the same thing at HobbyPartz! But for the free shipping, I ordered an extra RX, servo horns, and some wire, and my total ended to be $50.50! Good deal

But I have heard good things about maxamps, they are water proof out of the box, or what ever u call it.

But that's just what I've heard, I don't actually own lipo.

I only buy from www.CheapBatteryPacks.com. Small packs are ThunderPower packs, larger is Elite packs.

1-They are a vendor here.
2-Never had an issue.
3-If I order early Friday, I can have them at home late Monday (from the PNW to NJ for regular shipping).

I've ordered from MaxAmps, Tower Hobbies and ValueHobby (out of IL.)

MaxAmps is fine if you're looking for good, stable, high C packs. And they'll even put whatever kinda plugs on it you want. Comes with a premium price tag, though.

Tower Hobbies is so-so. Better price, and they have a decent selection, so you might be able to find a pack with the connector you need.

Value Hobby is my default battery supplier. I have their 3S - 1,300mAh batts in 30 & 35 C. (they do have a 40C) I like to keep each batt in it's own LiPo sack, so their dirt cheap pricing on sacks helps a lot. I can change out my own connectors, so I don't sweat it if I can't find the connector I'm looking for.

As far as the needing 45+C rating...... as was said, not really needed in crawling. If you're running an EXO or Wraith with a hot brushless setup, and trying to keep up with your buddies' go-fasts, then yeah, you'll need more amps, but at that point, I think you'd be better with a higher mAh rating.
(ie. 1300mAh x 45C= 58.5 amps. < 2200mAh x 30C=66 amps.)

For practice - Turnigy nano tech 850mah 3s 25-40c. Is a good cheep lipo, saves the cycle counts on the better batteries for comps.

For comps - Thunder Power "G6" 850mah 3s 45c. Know its overkill with the higher C rateing. Just feel better having a little extra when needed. Some of our comp courses have 10 regular gates + up to 10 bonus gates.
