Default New motor and speed control for my R1

I just got a Holmes Hobbies 35t and Mamba Max Pro for my R1 and I have a question. Should I/do I need to solder capacitors on motor? I use a Spektrum DX3E. I have never soldered leads onto motor before. Does it matter which bar as long as its negative or positive?

You only need to worry about caps if you are glitching.....pretty sure the Holmes motors you have already have them installed....the teardown he uses has a little circuit board with the caps on it.

I haven't installed caps on a motor since like 2006....waste of time 99.999% of the time......and usually it's something else isn't right and the caps are just a bandaid.
