It's supposed to be a more budget version of the 4pk.....I heard $299 as a price was the goal, but not sure if they are meeting that.

I think Harley knows about it, but the futaba guys got him in under an oath of secrecy....

I don't the it will be in any time in September. October would be the soonest I would expect it. I will start a thread as soon as I am given the go ahead.

I would love to see a side by side comparison with the 4PK(S) to give me a better over view of all the features and such.

Im sure they spend alot of time trying to meet release dates every time a new RC comes out..not to mention a 4th channel isnt needed until the cutting break comes out..

279? Where did you find that? Arg now I'm on the fence on weather I should sell my Futaba 3PK 2.4Ghz system and get the 4PL or just keep what I currently have

At Nationals I asked Jason Holt point blank "Will it meet ALL the needs of crawlers like dual esc mixing and rear steer for Supers?" and he responded ..... ABSOLUTELY!

. . . . to sell or to not sell my 3PK . . . . grrrr

I really like the look of the 4PL. I like how the screen is angled towards you so you don't have to tilt the remote forward to see the screen.

Does anyone know if it uses the FHSS or the FASST system? Kind of hoping for the FHSS because the receivers are so much cheaper . . .

I have been working on this with them for a really long time, long before we knew when the XR10 would be available. Plus who knows how long they were working on this before I knew anything about it. I am sure the people at Futaba can only get this out so fast and in all reality it will sell itself without being on top of the release date.

I believe all the PL series 2.4 use the FHSS system, since it is their "budget" radio designation.

My DX3R was stolen 2 weeks ago--this radio could be a great replacement.
