Default lipo help

hi all, just bought 2, 2200 7.4 volt lipos from hobby parts and just recived them in the mail. my question is that one says its a 2200 7.4 which is right and the other says 1800 11.1 volt which is wrong, but... i know its not a 11.1 because there is 3 wires on the balancing plug which is a 2 cell. now is there a way to tell if it is a 2200 or a 1800. i think that they just put the wrong decal on it but want to be sure. they both look the same and i tried to call customer service with no luck. so maybe someone here can help. thanks

I think you're on the right track with the balance tab only having 3 wires. Grab a voltmeter and check the voltage of the pack. If it's between 9v and 12.6v then it's a 3s battery. If it's between 6 and 8.4v then it's a 2s battery.

It it's the same voltage and size as the 2200 then it could quite possibly just be a mislabeled battery. Once you've checked everything give them another call and see how they would like to handle the situation. Even if there is no return/exchange needed they'd like to know so that they can check the rest of their stock for similar label problems.
