Default DX3E or Ko Propo EX5

Just curious what people would choose between these two radio's. I have the chance to get a EX5 for the same price as as 3E. I have been looking alot at radio's and for the money I don't think these would be to bad.

I've got the KO radio and so far I really like it..

It takes some getting used to the 5 position 3rd channel (since you only need 3 of those). I set pos 1 and 5 to the same as 2 and 4.

The receiver is super small (although a little taller as the leads come out the top).

It does have a longer antenna than some radio

and it does require digital servos to work properly... Non-digital servos have a really hard time centering..

had mine for over a year and I run 3 rigs off of it.. I do have a cheap Tactic DSM 2 channel for my rigs that don't need a 3rd channel as the Tactic receivers are $25 vs. $70. I've seen it for $180 plus 2 receivers from RPP.. Almost makes it worthwhile to pick another one up as a spare and then I'd have 2 more receivers...

I've got the 3E and have had no problems with it.

The EX-5 has a 7-model memory and the DX3E can only be set to one model at a time. The EX-5 also has an LCD readout (although a little confusing to read) and the 3E does not. The EX-5 has a 5-position 3rd channel and the the 3E is only a 3-position (not that most people need a 5-position switch).

You will like it. I just got one a few weeks ago, and am happy with the purchase.
