What kind of vehicle? Just wondering why you need a servo to do a dig A total of 3 servos? What kind of servos (digital/analog)? digitals will def. strain the BEC more than analog I have run 3 HS-645mg servos off of the TR2 and it performed perfectly, but I am not sure if that was harmful in the long run. The TR2's BEC gave out a couple months later (while using a 1/4 scale and 1 645 servo). Whether or not running the 3 servos was a factor I have no idea, just my observations. |

I would think that 2 servos is too much for the XRS 5volt/1amp BEC, but I have no personal experience with that esc. Another option, instead of forking out for a TR2, would be to buy a Novak Nitro Servo Regulator ($20). It supplies 3amps to the servos from your main pack. I am now using one of these and like it so far, since I killed my TR2's BEC. |

If you want I will post a picture of how my Novak regulator is set up. I made a Y-connector from Deans plugs so it is not permanent and I can put it in different vehicles.

The regulator does not come with any connectors, but the leads do come nicely pre-tinned ready to be soldered to something. You will use the on/off switch that the regulator has, instead of the one on the ESC. Plugs into the BATT port on the receiver A shot of the connector I made, it goes between the battery and the ESC. And the entire setup Last edited by SVEN; 02-28-2006 at 09:52 PM. |

WestCoastPJ: I have no idea about whether the switch can be cut off. But you are correct about not having to turn it on when using the regulator. Dezfan: haha, yeah well that was the first motor I ever got (P2K) and it was used....7 years ago. I just threw it on their until the lathes came in. It's been soldered and resoldered so many times, it is a complete mess. |
