Default Mixing puller motors

What would be the result of mixing a 55 turn motor with a 400 14 turn puller? Single fxr on 3 cells. Would a 45 work better? Would it work at all?

Any help from those with the knowlegde would be greatly appreciated.

Do you mean trying to make a 55t puller?

Pullers aren't wired like standard motors. I've tried to figure it out, but there is some kind of voodoo going on there...

The 14t will be fast, but stall easier. The 45t or 55t will be slow. You may be able to work something out. Is this MOA? Maybe a 35t on back and the puller on front.

No.. just running a puller with a standard can on a moa. A 55t puller would be an interesting idea - my first thought is -- would it fit?

Yeah, Moa - xr-10 - hopefully under 5 lbs. If running the 14t up front on 3S gear down (12t pinion?) then try and match the rear? My biggest concern is whether or not a single fxr will handle the mix match?

Thanks for the replies.

I run the 14 turn pullers on my berg and they are way faster than the 35t that they replaced. I ran 12 tooth with the 35t and I run 11 tooth with the pullers and they are still that much faster, and the epa's are set at 90% with 3s lipo. Weight is right at 5 lbs. Hope this helps, TY

I guess my biggest question is which motor will draw the most current? I would assume the motor that wants the most current will stall first? If someone could confirm this it would be great.

The puller will pull more amps than the 540 motor.

Yeah, those pullers are amp hogs for sure.

You probably just need to get first hand experience in the matter. I don't think it has been done.
