turnigy, whats the deal with this company? are they any good? on their site i can get a 1500 lipo battery for like 9 bucks and a balancer/charger for like 25 bucks... are they just crap or do they really work? if they do work its a great price. |

| I have been using their batteries all year. 4S lipos and 2S Lipos for racing 1/8th scale and never had an issue. I would say my 4S packs have about 50 cycles through them and still working great.

So I am new to the lipo thing. What kind of run time would I get with say a 1300 lipo on a moa bully 1\10 scale? Will it have plenty of power even with 2 motors?

| Depending on your motor selection. I ran dual 35T HH Handwounds with a 3 cell 1500 Lipo and could get about 30-40 minutes. Never really ran it till it died.

In the rc airplane world they are huge, i trust a 60" extra 300 with them and it was a no brainer for me. payed $110 for 2 6s 5000mah batteries as opposed to $200+ for one 6s 5000mah from thunder power. They can and will hold up to the abuse any crawler can give them. But quality control is not near what more expensive brands are and the warranty basically ends when the battery laves the warehouse. On my crawlers i use hyperion, they are cheaper than say thunder power but have excellent batteries, quality control and warranties.

I bought 6 of the 5000 20c packs at $20 a pop and have run a few of them and I like them so far. Only problem is the damn 12 gauge wire on them. It's so effing hard to solder on a Deans plug!! Any suggestions on that? The chargers I'm not too happy with. I bought the Turnigy 4x6s charger that charges 4 batts at once. I got the charger, plugged it in and it turned on. All 4 screens worked and I fiddled around trying to figure out the settings but figured I would try to find the manual before I actually charged a pack. It sat on my desk turned off for about 2 weeks till I finally had a chance to print out the manual. Well once I turned it back on the 2nd screen just showed a bunch of blocks and would not respond at all. The other 3 ports worked fine. Talked to a "rep" from Hobby King and all they could say was send it back.........to China. I'm pretty pissed at that, it cost me $50 to get it here and now I gotta send it back. I guess that's what you get when you buy from brands outside the US, no customer support. Still haven't decided if I'm going to waste the time and money to send it back, almost gonna be a $200 charger by the time I get it back. |

You'll always get the fan boys and the brand snobs, but in terms of value for money, Turnigy lipo's just can't be beaten.

CUt a few strains off of the 12g. Then tin, then solder. I have the 6a charger and 5000 2s and 3s, for the slash... 4 1300 3s, 2 1300 2s, 2 2200mah 3s, for crawling... all have been running great and charging great. I have one issue with one 2200 where the one of the cell lead broke but I soldered a jumper wire and it works fine now too. (it took a hard hit when it broke, my fault) I think I have less in all 10 batterys and charger w/ shipping then I would in 1 slash, 1 crawler battery from the other guys. So if one is bad then im still +7. | |

I bought the cheap charger ( I think I only paid $20 each from turnigy), and 4 2200mah 2c batteries and honestly, I couldn't be happier. My only regret is not getting the 3c batteries, and 2 more chargers. I honestly just can't justify the price tag on any other batteries. All i gotta get now is a plug in timer, so I can charge these bad boys overnight and not worry about explosions and I'm good to go!
