| Speed/Torque difference between Crawler motors/Normal motors?
So I have a bunch of 21.5 and 17.5 motors from our onroad racing and was thinking of using them for a scaler build. I noticed that some brushless motors are labeled specifically for crawling. Is there a large difference between lets say a 21.5 crawler Novak motor and a 21.5 normal purple ring novak motor?

The novak has a resistor inside instead of a thermal probe. This allows the Novak ESC to run a small current through one of the phases for their hill brake feature. Otherwise they are the same. If you are not running a novak ESC then you won't even know the difference. |

The larger diameter rotors also increase the startup speed because of the reduced air gap.

Thats great to hear. Saves me some money from going out and buying new motors for the time being. Thanks!
