Default Bind and control problem

Put together a MRC that I picked up on here and using a spektrum 3100 rx out of my honcho to run it. Make a new "model" on the DX3r and bound it and tires just start spinning in reverse pretty fast. I can throttle it and stop it/go forward. I play with the trim and about any configuration I can think of and I can slow it down on the very max setting but still not stopped. I reset that model and re-bind it and still same thing. Am I missing something? Stock MRC motor, esc. Has a BEC and 3100 rx on 2s

Gunna ask a dumb question, but after you bound the RX did you calibrate the ESC to the radio?

that was it, I was doing it wrong, had to go read the losi instructions. Now other problem, it wants to stay turned roughly 3/4 to the left. I can turn it more to the left but it will not turn right.

took the case apart on the Towerpro MG945 and it had that smell. I had a old Hitec 645mg laying around with stripped gears. Was able to make the gears from the 945 go into the 645 and steer now.
