| Wheely King top speed brushless?
What would be the top speed for a wheely king, if I change the Saturn 27t motor and put the following bhrushless ones (keeping everything else the same): 1- Ezrun 17.5T (1900KV) 2- Ezrun 13.5T (2500KV) 3- Ezrun 8.5T (4000KV) Right out of the box the top speed is about 12mph. Any advice or way on how to calculate the speed will be thankful. |

I'd imagine this is pretty typical of the generic 27t silver cans. 1400kv http://banebots.com/pc/MOTOR-BRUSH/M5-RS540-12 But don't just look at the KV rating. A BL motor will be much more efficient for longer run times and under load will pull more current so the power output will be tremendously higher. |

Thanks for the info. I guess I can expect at least a rule of three regarding the top speed, because brushless motors are more powerful than the brushed ones. The following table shows in the first column the KV of the motors, the second one shows,in black, the known top speed of the saturn 27T "in a stock wheely king" and and the remaining red top speeds were obtained by a simplre rule of three. I don't know how much more powerful a brushless motor is compared to a brushed one. So, I did three extra columns with 5%, 10% and 15% extra power. Hopefully, this is useful for someone.
