| 775 motors
I am going to use a 2 speed trans for my next build, which is going to be a 1/6 jeep so the only trans I can think of that would hold up would be the summit. The factory mount for a 775 motor might give out enough torque for the large 40's series tires (either slingers or loxs) I found a 775 size motor on a robot website Model M5-RS775-12 Operating v : 6v - 18v Nominal v : 12v No Load RPM : 7300 No Load A : 1.1A Stall Torque : 61.1 oz-in 431.5 mN-m Stall Current : 30A Kt : 2.04 oz-in/A 14.4 mN-m/A Kv : 608 rpm/V Efficiency : 76.8% RPM - Peak Eff : 7300 Torque - Peak Eff : 11.69 oz-in/A 82.6 mN-m Current - Peak Eff : 5.7A Looks like it would be a low revving torque motor which might help with getting a good low crawl speed. What escs could run this motor or a 775 titan? Something waterproof is needed, would a xl-5 have enough juice to power one of these? Last edited by MaxxZilla; 10-24-2010 at 10:06 PM. |

The XL-5 would, but you wouldn't get the power or speed that you were looking for. You'll want one of these and run two stick packs or a 3-4S LiPo... http://www.traxxas.com/products/elec.../3019_evx2.jpg |

Holmes Hobbies BR-Xl would be the cat's meow. Waterproof, 5a internal BEC, 2-6s and easily handle a 775 class motor. http://holmeshobbies.com/product.php...4&cat=0&page=1 |

Awesome, that with 3's would probably give me the speed I'm looking for.
