Default Punk Dig solder question

Do you just feed solder into the holes, tin wire ends then solder it all together?.Those holes are big enough for bullits to fit into..I'm hoping that the solder will "lay" down into the holes

If someone could give me the step by step i would appreciate it..Thanks

I'm workin with 16 gauge wire

Yeah I was kind of timid when soldering mineup at first because those holes looked huge. I just tinned the wires real good and then soldered them to one side of the hole, works for me.

Here is how I did it:
  1. Tin the wire up real good (I used 13g but 12 or 14 should work well also)
  2. Stick the wire through the hole
  3. Apply Heat
Mine was used so it had solder on the punk after I pulled the wires out, you may need to tin the punk a little bit to get the solder to flow nicely between the two.

One other tip that I have is to run the motor wires from the underside and the connection from the ESC to the top. It really helps make the wiring cleaner and it doesnt get all tangled in there as easily.

There is no reason to be intimidated by soldering.

The best way to do this is like SMR 510RR said:

1. strip your wire and dip it in some flux
2. tin the wire tip by heating it up and adding a little bit of solder until you see the wires fill up with solder
3. insert the tinned wire into the hole
4. apply heat to both surfaces at the same time until you see the wire solder start to melt
5. touch the area with the solder until you see positive connection between the two

NOTE: dont hold the soldering iron on the area or solder too long. This will cause burning. Also, try to perform this in a ventilated environment, unless you are quick.

Oh yea and make sure your iron is tinned up also. That is the one thing I used to be sloppy about, once you do it right it is sooooo much easier to get the heat in and out quickly.
