Ok, I got this motor last Monday and wired it up Saturday to my XL5 and when it's going forward it makes a clicking sound, but in reverse it doesn't. Is this normal for a brand new motor, like the brushes/comm breaking in? I know it seems like a newbie question but I'm not terribly familiar with RC electronics. I also know it's not the gear mesh as like I said it only does it going forward, not in reverse and the mesh was set correctly (paper method). I'm running a 20t pinion on it and running a 8.4v pack if that makes any difference. I'm just thinking it's the brushes/comm breaking in but I'd like to hear some more experienced individuals comments on this. |

Normal for those motors. It is the brushes smacking the comm segments.
