Default ballistic 21.5t, stripped hole

i just received a goat3s with the 21.5t ballistic today. i installed it on my losi comp crawler and found out that you need some really small screws. i had to cut down the one that came with my kit with the dremel because they were hitting the wires in the motor. then after reducing the lenght of my screws, i stripped a hole... i still have a small ''grip'' with the screw but i guess i should do something. is it better to make the hole a bit bigger with a tap or to rotate this end of the motor by opening it completely?
i can't rotate the whole motor since i don't have room for the wires the way it sits in my rig
Thanks for your help!
