Default Tekin FXR wire size

I'm just finishing mine crawler got all pcs no and wondering if tekinfxr wire size#16 is ok to use becouse that what it came with.
On pictures looks like other people use #14.
I think since this is brushed the #16 is good enough i'm i right?Or why crawlers use # 14?

Well, if you can fit bigger.....then by all means do it, but in the end 16 will function.

I use 13 awg with my FXRs....

I use 16 but I am not feeding any power hungry motors either.

13 seems to be a nice balance. 12 is just too big and stiff.

16 AWG is plenty big for a crawler.

I run 18 awg, can't tell a difference in power. But smaller wire is a bunch lighter, more flexible, and much easier to solder.

16ga is PLENTY on a brushed crawler, I ran 16 and 18 and could not tell the difference in power. 12ga is not necessary, even 14ga is overkill really.

It probably is way overkill, The only reason I used it is that is what ga. came on my LIPO.

13 gauge is the way to go or match your battery conductor size.

Why is that?

These wires will carry way more juice than we are putting through them IMO.

I used 12ga for a while then switched to 14. Its a bit easier it work with and makes your wiring a bit cleaner and its easier to solder the smaller gauge wires also.

14 from esc to punk dig (it's what i had kicking around) and 16 to the motors..I cant see a reason to use anything bigger than 16 really.

My FXR came with wire that just says "Tekin Electronics" and it looks liked AWG 14 because i used some deans 16ga. for the motor. But yeah, like everyone said above, don't worry about the size being too small. That being said, i don't use anything smaller than 16. Heck the leads on the bec is tiny!
