Default DX3 3 postition switch

love the m11, but I want to switch to something that has the right stuff. didn't like the position of the 3 position switch on the dx3 so I tapped into it and added push button, momentary switches. stock switch still works. built a little lexan thing to hold it.

That looks great. I am looking at doing something similar to mine.

What setup have you got and what sequence do you use on the switches.

I am looking at getting the new novak m2 dig esc http://www.teamnovak.com/products/esc/m2/index.html and am wondering that if I do the mod that you have what will it enable me to do using the novak esc.

Will I just be able to engage front or rear dig?

If you just do switches you will only be able to use dig. You could try using a potentiometer to control it and then you would be able to have proportional control as well as dig in their linear mode.

Are the switches normally open or normally closed?

normally open, you have to hold the switch on. off is center.
you can make the switch (stock or buttons) linear or 3 position. not sure how the m2 mix will work.

Well that makes it more difficult...

center (no buttons) is 4wd
red (top) button is front dig; must be held on to be engaged
black (bottom) button is rear burn; also must be held on to be engaged

allows instant on and off of dig/burn, just like stock rocker, but on thumb buttons

not sure if I can hack into the throttle mix thing yet for proportional rear.
